Eryn L. Bent is a 22 year old singer/songwriter currently based out of Billings, Montana. Her passion for expressing emotion through the beauty of music and song is clear through her lyrical and solo/acoustic way of performance.
Eryn was training in voice privately for 8 years by her mentor/friend, Lisa J. Carman. She was cast in several community theater productions throughout middle school and high school, even starring in the theater's final show, "The Wizard of Oz". She also performed at multiple fundraising events for the high school and other local organizations. Before graduating high school, she organized and performed two senior recitals; these recitals were free to the public and with the donations she received from those who attended, she was able to attend the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID as a Vocal Performance major.
While a student at the University of Idaho, Eryn was the only freshman soprano vocalist cast in "The Corps of Discovery", a newly developed opera based on the Lewis and Clark expedition which the university debuted. She was also the only University of Idaho student that year to take first place as a vocalist in the NAATS competition: a vocal competition between state and nearby state colleges.
In Moscow, Eryn's guitar and writing skills grew. She played regular shows at coffeeshops in town, and in the surrounding Washington area. Her small fanbase in the area were known jokingly for their "Get Bent!" slogan.
After some life changing experiences, Eryn is back in her home state of Montana, even though her heart will always have a place in New Mexico. She is currently working on her third album and has recently been signed to High Caliber Productions management. She only hopes that her music can heal and touch the lives of others as it has hers.
